What's the Difference Between Gold and Blue Certified?

The Ford Blue Advantage offers qualifying vehicles in one of two tiers: Gold Certified and Blue Certified. Whether vehicles qualify as Gold or Blue Certified largely comes down to their mileage, age and if they were built by Ford or another manufacturer.

  • Gold Certified vehicles must be Ford-built cars and trucks with fewer than 80,000 miles that are six years old or newer.
  • Blue Certified vehicles may be up to 10 years old with 120,000 miles and have been manufactured by any domestic or foreign brand.
