Very nice fellow and I love my truck! But the initial price was lower (due to vehicle chosen) in the end it all costed more than I first thought. The other thing was (that made me give a 4/5 instead of 5/5) was… there are a lot of folks who bought vehicles and a photo is shown on FB of them with their new vehicle… I guess it would have been nice to have been offered a FB photo opportunity. Otherwise very nice fellow!

The service I received at Bellingham Ford was out stranding as usual! As a return customer from Juneau Alaska, where we have NO FORD DEALER, I was required to transport my 2020 F350 to Bellingham to have an on going emission problem corrected. This was accomplished by the Service Department in an exemplary performance by the technician Cole assigned to this serious diesel problem in concert with David Carrera the Service Coordinator. This on going problem had been assigned a increased case# problem level by the Ford Problem Center (M Krupa) due to the impact on the operation of my F350 which facilitated the use of consultation with other Ford Technicians. The result was a successfully completed repair to a complex problem.

That they were no longer a Lincoln dealership, I was told by them and the Lincoln people meant the perks offered to me as a Lincoln owner were no longer valid. To me that means that the contract was their obligation but matters that were only a handshake meant nothing. I did not like how I was treated .

I scheduled service for my Ford F-450 pickup at a day and time convenient for me. The service team completed the work promptly. The waiting area is comfortable. The staff are all courteous and pleasant. Two things I want changed could not be done. These are, apparently, engineering and/or software issues with Ford proper and not the responsibility of the local dealership. Four stars is a high and well-deserved rating. I reserve five stars for those rare occasions when somebody extends themselves well beyond expectation to help me do something. As for work quality, I reserve judgement for a while. It takes time to assess.

Bought a 2017 Dodge Journey.
Bought a 2017 Dodge Journey. The next morning I found it had a severe oil leak. Took it back and informed the sales department. They said they would take care of the problem. It was a huge relief that Bellingham Ford stood behind their sale of a vehicle that wasn't completly repaired. They could have said "Not our problem" but they said they would take care of it. Service department was unable to inspect it that day and I was told to bring it back the following day. I took it to Rairdon Dodge, they inspected it that day and gave an estimatae of 2,000 to replace the oil cooler & parts. I gave that to Bellingham Ford The following day an inspection was done by Bellingham Ford service depart and they found the oil cooler needed to be replaced again. Service advisors showed a lack of concern addressing the issue. I had to call Cody to verify that the spark plugs that I requested specifically to be replaced while the intake manifold was removed in order to access the oil cooler; were going to be replaced while the engine was torn down and was told he just forgot to list it on the work order - good thing I called again...his reason for missing it..."he was busy checking other vehicles in". Also while replacing the oil cooler the sensors, a very inexpensive part, was not replaced...nor was it brought to me for discussion on the wisdom and cost savings of doing so while the engine was torn down. It would have taken seconds to bring this to my attention and I would 100% have said YES please replace them now and I will pay for the parts/labor for doing so. The transmission was leaking and the pan was taken off. A new gasket was installed but the trans. filter was not replaced (another inexpensive part). I specifically informed Cody that I would pay out of pocket for the replaced spark plugs and any other parts needed. I feel like I completely showed that I wanted anything and everything taken care of while the engine was torn down and that I was willing to cover the cost to have the job fully completed correctly. Again feeling an overall lack of concern, I asked to speak to service manager. Service manager, Jason Turell, was a pleasure to work with and assured me that everything I asked was taken care of without question at no cost. That assurance was appreciated, and my 'bad' for assuming the inexpensive parts would be replaced. I called Jason and left a voicemail specifically requesting the transmission filter be replaced along with the new gasket...just in case common sense wasn't considered part of the job...even though I said I would cover extra costs for the job to be completed correctly. I said that I didn't care how long it takes as long as the job was completed correctly. Now, in order to have the transmission filter replaced, I have to have the transmission pan removed again and a new gasket and the transmission fluid replaced just to replace an inexpensive filer that has 95k miles. A little thought beyond the task in front of them...a little communication with me to confirm additional work I would want completed....a little better listening to my specific requests and follow through on writing it on the work order...a little bit of "people smart" by reading me as a person and how intent I was on having the work fully completed now...when it simply made sense to go the extra step of replacing inexpensive parts....would have made this a better experience and not left such a bad taste in my mouth for dealing with Bellingham Ford's service department. The only saving grace was Jason Turell. At this time I had a second vechile a 2016 F-150 in for service with another service advisor and was in need of a shuttle ride to my office. It took several texts to Trevor, who never answered and two voicemails to service dept. to have the shuttle driver finally arrive 45 minutes later. The driver was very friendly and cheerful. It takes so little effort to provided extraordinary service.

"NO, you listen to me!" Julian was in my face. I live in Bellingham I just bought a new Ford Maverick and when looking for the truck, I searched three different dealerships. Bellingham Ford did not have what I wanted. Where I purchased the Maverick, I was told that when I get the license plates to go to my local dealer and get a mounting bracket for the front plate. I went to Bellingham Ford parts and asked for a plate bracket. I was told that it was $71. I thought it would be free. I was told to go talk with Shawn. Shawn wanted to know why they should give me $71 of free mechandise? Why I didn't buy the vehicle from them? Go back to my dealer and ask them for a free plate bracket. Shawn went and got Julian. When I tried to explain to Julian that I thought that the dealerships worked together helping each other out, Shawn didn't hear me. He said, "Would you walk down the street and ask a stranger for $71?" "Why did I expect a free plate bracket?" I told him that I had 300 miles on the truck and was expected to bring it in for service over the course of my ownership. Again he stopped me with, "You listen to me." "Go home tognight and look at yourself in the mirror and ask..." I tuned him out. When done, I thought out loud, "This is a PR nightmare! The Diehl Ford dealership has been part of the Bellingham community since the early 1900's and this new dearlership is destroying its legacy!" Rather than he saying, "We want your business. Let's see if we can work something out." But for a $71 plastic plate bracket, [The same bracket costs around $35 on the internet] Bellingham Ford lost a potential long-term customer. I got disrespted and yelled at. I told Julian that I would gladly drive down to Skagit to Dwayne Lane Ford rather than come back to Bellingham Ford.

The Service department lied to me for 5 weeks. When I got tired of being patient and lied to I escalated up the ladder to upper management, again, AFTER 5 WEEKS on being patient. When I did I was further lied to until finally I had enough dishonesty. I sat down with the Service manager and he made more promises he didn’t keep. He knew I was going on vacation and needed a vehicle so he said he’d get me into one but he didn’t. Then, when I posted on my Facebook page about my experience he refused to work on my vehicle and now, while I’m on vacation, he’s parking my truck at my home and leaving the keys in it. Ford Motor Company says, “they’re independent dealers and basically can do whatever they want. No more Fords for me. No wonder they’re a declining market.

I have been buying my vehicles at Diehl Ford since I was 18 years old. This was my first and last purchase under the new ownership of Bellingham Ford Lincoln. Clearly you care nothing for your customers and instead of being family we are now only a number to you. I have never been treated so poorly by a company in my entire life. This purchasing experience was a nightmare from day one. I can’t believe that it took SIX weeks for your company to complete this transaction with me. At every turn I was treated as an inconvenience, had to initiate every step myself, was never contacted via phone unless I initiated the call, and was generally given the runaround the entire time. Your salesman Jeff was sarcastic and rude throughout our entire interaction. While I understand the process was complicated by my being out of state and serving with the Army in North Carolina, that doesn’t excuse the lengthy and quite frankly, negligent nature of this transaction. It is not acceptable to tell a customer that “if you were here, you would be able to get in line to see our finance manager.” At the moment I said I wanted to purchase my truck, I should have been placed in line, virtual or not. My file should have been handled as if I were standing there. I should never have had to wait 3-4 days between each step of the process. Your staff even went so far as to claim that my paperwork didn’t arrive until a certain day when the tracking showed it delivered 5 days earlier: Interestingly enough, your staff managed to mark the truck as “sold” in the system thus starting the Sirius XM trial membership immediately, but couldn’t process my paperwork, return my calls or prepare the truck for pickup. When my proxy went to get the truck, the debacle continued with there only being one set of keys provided. When pushed for a second set of keys, Jeff became hostile, and Julian informed us he would “just cancel the entire transaction,” even though the truck had been paid for, cash outright, for over a week. We were then told we could not have two sets of keys because it “wasn’t on the sales contract.” In actuality, no keys were listed on the contract, and I have NEVER purchased a vehicle with only one set of keys, and you would think that at $29,950 for a USED 2014 truck and a transaction that took over SIX WEEKS you could at least offer this courtesy. Adding insult to injury my father was “mysteriously” no longer needed to work at this company with one day notice during this time. Odd, since immediately prior to the start of this transaction he was praised on your Facebook page as such a valued member of your staff. He worked there over 40 years, and this was my 6th vehicle purchase. Apparently loyalty has no place in the new management of Bellingham Ford Lincoln. You made incredibly easy to have no qualms about taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Looking for a rare stress free, pleasant, easy going buying experience when purchasing a new vehicle? After consulting many dealerships in the state, I Traveled from Eastern WA (Richland) to purchase a new Expedition from Bellingham Ford. They were extremely easy to deal with and the staff was a real pleasure. I dealt with Jeff in sales and he was a great guy to work with. These folks treat you like family. Last 2 visits had grease on my driver's door, driver's threshold, driver's seat and inside of the door. Was told I had a bad wheel bearing, then a bad transmission and was told to go to Rairdon's, even though I bought the car from Bham Ford and an extended warranty from Bham Ford. (by the way, my car has had the same road noise since I purchased it from Bham Ford) Got a second opinion from a privately owned shop and they said Bham Ford was incorrect. Noise is from having an aggressive tire tread. Very disappointed in the service. I thought things would be better when Jason Turrell came back, but no. I work in the automotive industry and constantly hear bad reviews of Bham Ford. I hope Rich Hartman can turn it around. Nonetheless, I won't be back. On another note, Bham Ford service department recently made an appointment with out shop and didn't show up for the appointment. When I called they said they fixed it themselves, but didn't give us a call to cancel. So we won't be doing anymore work for Bham Ford due to this.

The pick-up/drop off service is very nice. But every time I bind the car in for something, the service department tries to convince me that the car needs new brakes. She got new brakes a year ago. Please stop trying to sell me something I don't need.

Was quoted estimate of $700 voice 1 day prior, $900 morning of drop off. $995 at pick up. Internet estimates around $350. I feel ripped off. Another service writer knocked off $50. Paid $945.

"NO, you listen to me!
"NO, you listen to me!" Julian was in my face. I live in Bellingham I just bought a new Ford Maverick and when looking for the truck, I searched three different dealerships. Bellingham Ford did not have what I wanted. Where I purchased the Maverick, I was told that when I get the license plates to go to my local dealer and get a mounting bracket for the front plate. I went to Bellingham Ford parts and asked for a plate bracket. I was told that it was $71. I thought it would be free. I was told to go talk with Shawn. Shawn wanted to know why they should give me $71 of free mechandise? Why I didn't buy the vehicle from them? Go back to my dealer and ask them for a free plate bracket. Shawn went and got Julian. When I tried to explain to Julian that I thought that the dealerships worked together helping each other out, Shawn didn't hear me. He said, "Would you walk down the street and ask a stranger for $71?" "Why did I expect a free plate bracket?" I told him that I had 300 miles on the truck and was expected to bring it in for service over the course of my ownership. Again he stopped me with, "You listen to me." "Go home tognight and look at yourself in the mirror and ask..." I tuned him out. When done, I thought out loud, "This is a PR nightmare! The Diehl Ford dealership has been part of the Bellingham community since the early 1900's and this new dearlership is destroying its legacy!" Rather than he saying, "We want your business. Let's see if we can work something out." But for a $71 plastic plate bracket, [The same bracket costs around $35 on the internet] Bellingham Ford lost a potential long-term customer. I got disrespted and yelled at. I told Julian that I would gladly drive down to Skagit to Dwayne Lane Ford rather than come back to Bellingham Ford.

It is different going back to a dealership that has taken...
It is different going back to a dealership that has taken over from the previous ownership that was a family business that for so many years. However, many of the old guard and familiar faces are still there. That is a good sign! It says a lot about the new owners in a good way. I was very pleased to have met Charlie at the service desk. Very personable and pleasant and easy to talk to. Carlos who works in the shop was also great! Mark, who I have known for years was a delight to see. Even paying my bill was a good fun experience. ( I missed the Licorice sticks)😄. The company still has that warmth of a family feel. Sincere, honest, good advice and non pushy factors all matter to me. I will continue to seek Bellingham Ford Lincoln and their quality, professional service. 10 out of 10 👍👍👍👍

Making appointment was easy, except there wasn’t an option for “waiting for vehicle”. Reminders were good. Service was quick. I later saw that windshield wipers were all marked in the red. I would have liked if they would have called me to see if I wanted them replaced. I only saw it once I got home, now I have to replace them myself or make another appointment.

I scheduled service for my Ford F-450 pickup at a day and time convenient for me. The service team completed the work promptly. The waiting area is comfortable. The staff are all courteous and pleasant. Two things I want changed could not be done. These are, apparently, engineering and/or software issues with Ford proper and not the responsibility of the local dealership. Four stars is a high and well-deserved rating. I reserve five stars for those rare occasions when somebody extends themselves well beyond expectation to help me do something. As for work quality, I reserve judgement for a while. It takes time to assess.

Bought a 2017 Dodge Journey.
Bought a 2017 Dodge Journey. The next morning I found it had a severe oil leak. Took it back and informed the sales department. They said they would take care of the problem. It was a huge relief that Bellingham Ford stood behind their sale of a vehicle that wasn't completly repaired. They could have said "Not our problem" but they said they would take care of it. Service department was unable to inspect it that day and I was told to bring it back the following day. I took it to Rairdon Dodge, they inspected it that day and gave an estimatae of 2,000 to replace the oil cooler & parts. I gave that to Bellingham Ford The following day an inspection was done by Bellingham Ford service depart and they found the oil cooler needed to be replaced again. Service advisors showed a lack of concern addressing the issue. I had to call Cody to verify that the spark plugs that I requested specifically to be replaced while the intake manifold was removed in order to access the oil cooler; were going to be replaced while the engine was torn down and was told he just forgot to list it on the work order - good thing I called again...his reason for missing it..."he was busy checking other vehicles in". Also while replacing the oil cooler the sensors, a very inexpensive part, was not replaced...nor was it brought to me for discussion on the wisdom and cost savings of doing so while the engine was torn down. It would have taken seconds to bring this to my attention and I would 100% have said YES please replace them now and I will pay for the parts/labor for doing so. The transmission was leaking and the pan was taken off. A new gasket was installed but the trans. filter was not replaced (another inexpensive part). I specifically informed Cody that I would pay out of pocket for the replaced spark plugs and any other parts needed. I feel like I completely showed that I wanted anything and everything taken care of while the engine was torn down and that I was willing to cover the cost to have the job fully completed correctly. Again feeling an overall lack of concern, I asked to speak to service manager. Service manager, Jason Turell, was a pleasure to work with and assured me that everything I asked was taken care of without question at no cost. That assurance was appreciated, and my 'bad' for assuming the inexpensive parts would be replaced. I called Jason and left a voicemail specifically requesting the transmission filter be replaced along with the new gasket...just in case common sense wasn't considered part of the job...even though I said I would cover extra costs for the job to be completed correctly. I said that I didn't care how long it takes as long as the job was completed correctly. Now, in order to have the transmission filter replaced, I have to have the transmission pan removed again and a new gasket and the transmission fluid replaced just to replace an inexpensive filer that has 95k miles. A little thought beyond the task in front of them...a little communication with me to confirm additional work I would want completed....a little better listening to my specific requests and follow through on writing it on the work order...a little bit of "people smart" by reading me as a person and how intent I was on having the work fully completed now...when it simply made sense to go the extra step of replacing inexpensive parts....would have made this a better experience and not left such a bad taste in my mouth for dealing with Bellingham Ford's service department. The only saving grace was Jason Turell. At this time I had a second vechile a 2016 F-150 in for service with another service advisor and was in need of a shuttle ride to my office. It took several texts to Trevor, who never answered and two voicemails to service dept. to have the shuttle driver finally arrive 45 minutes later. The driver was very friendly and cheerful. It takes so little effort to provided extraordinary service.
